How often should I have my chimney cleaned?
It depends on how much you burn. If you use the fireplace a lot, plan on a cleaning for about every cord of wood you burn. If you only light a few fires a season, once a year is fine. A gas log set still needs an inspection to see whether a cleaning or a refresh is due.
Is it messy?
It shouldn’t be. Kevin puts down drop cloths, works from the firebox and the roof as needed, and cleans up before he leaves.
How do I pay?
By check or credit card. Half is due up front for materials when the job is booked, and the rest once the work is done and you’ve approved it.
