Chimney Rebuilds in Park Ridge, IL

A chimney that looks and works like new.

When the brick above the roof is loose, cracked or leaning, patching won’t hold. Kevin takes it down to sound brick and rebuilds it with new brick and mortar, a poured concrete crown, top tile, cap and new flashing where it’s needed.

Chimney Rebuilds questions

Can you match my brick?

Kevin sources brick as close to your existing brick as he can find. On older homes an exact match isn’t always possible, and he’ll show you options before ordering.

When do you do rebuilds?

Masonry and concrete work runs from spring through fall, while it’s warm enough for mortar and concrete to cure. If you call in winter, he can inspect it and get you on the schedule.

What’s a chimney crown?

The crown is the concrete slab that caps the top of the chimney around the flue. It sheds water away from the brick. Once it cracks, water gets in and freezes, and the brick below starts to break down.
